Serial Teachers Movie Explained

I’ll be explaining the French comedy “Serial Teachers” today. Beware of spoilers! Eighty-six percent of students in a French school graduated successfully this year, setting an all-time high. They dance and run around, looking forward to a successful college career. In contrast, the atmosphere at Jules Ferry High School is quite different. It is listed as the lowest ranking high school of the year on the news channels, with a pass rate of just 12%. The principal, deputy inspector, and academy inspector are meeting to discuss the kids’ subpar performance.

It is challenging for them to comprehend the reason for failure because they have hired the best teachers the city has to offer, and the pupils aren’t dummies either. The sponsors will stop sponsoring the school, forcing it to close, if the pass rate doesn’t increase to at least 50% this year. They devise a novel approach that has never been used before to avoid this. The nation’s worst educators are who they want to hire. They are hoping the worst ones will make a difference because the excellent ones didn’t get the desired effects. The aforementioned terrible teachers are then introduced to us. Miss Gladys, the combative English teacher, comes first.

She is excellent at what she does, although she can be a touch violent with the stupid students. Then there is Cutiro, the slack maths teacher. Because of his slowness, the fishes drag him into the water while he goes fishing. Eric, a sports instructor, utilises anything flat as a frisbee and anything heavy to lift. Albert, a chemistry instructor, comes in fourth. Both his lessons and his experiments pose a serious risk to his life. Maurice, a philosophy instructor, often presents concepts in cryptic ways and oversimplifies them. Amina is the French instructor and the sexiest person in the group.

In addition to her great teaching techniques, students adore her class because of the provocative attire. Polochon, the history instructor, is the next. He is the one who was bullied in high school; he is quiet and disorderly. Everyone is drawn to the losers team as they enter the school together. Gladys begins the first lesson by striking the students with chunks of chalk right away. More than instructing them, she seems to love making fun of them. Nectarine, the sole student who studies and the customary teacher’s pet, is one of the pupils. She didn’t neglect to add that she jumped a grade last year due to her exceptional grades.

The class clown who is perpetually late is then introduced to us as Boulard. He walks into the classroom and is attacked by Gladys right away. Her distinctive but primarily terrifying demeanour astounds the entire class. Cutiro’s class is the following. He arrives twenty minutes late due to his laziness and takes an additional ten minutes to put his name on the board. He then goes outside for a smoke break and waits outside till the time is over. Polochon, the history instructor, enters the wrong classroom and discovers the German instructor in the front. He asks her to join the others after mistaking her for a student. Polochon refuses to pay attention as the teacher tries to explain.

He gets informed that he is in the incorrect class after nervously fumbling with papers and talking about Napoleon for a few minutes. Before leaving, he offers his regrets. Over lunch, Polochon and the German teacher exchange looks that seem to signal the beginning of a romantic relationship. The physical education instructor forces the students to climb trees during class without any safeguards. He dismisses their self-inflicted injuries as just one of many difficulties they will encounter in life. The children’ preferred teacher, Miss Amina, will then begin her class. The males don’t flinch as they take their first glance at her. They all instantly fall to the ground when she pulls them out of their brains.

Although Boulard is a little late, he exhibits the similar response. The teacher called the student in the philosophy class a “talking coat hanger” while putting his coat over his head. He explains why a hanger cannot speak continuously. Last but not least, Albert combines several chemicals in chemistry class, but due to a small measurement error, the entire class is covered in fizz. Polochon contacts the French instructor after school and expresses regret for his error. In addition, he gives her a hug without following the correct protocol because he has never before touched a woman. The pupils are taught by the seven losers for a week, making it the most chaotic week in Jules Ferry’s memory.

Over the weekend, parents are complaining about the sports instructor sending pupils home with a different broken bone every day and the chemistry teacher burning someone’s backpack. The principal is about to summon the academy deputy inspector when this happens, but he could care less how he handles it. Although he was the one who suggested ranking the worst teachers, the principal believes he had a hidden agenda because of the way he dismissed the notion. The following day, the principal decides to intervene and makes every effort to persuade the teacher to see things his way. To prevent Gladis from hitting the students, he first glues the chalk pieces to the table.

The string on the duster strikes her in the back of the head when she uses it. As Cutiro’s class comes around, he pulls out a picnic chair and sits in it as usual. This time, though, a short circuit results in a tiny explosion, which makes him jump. The principal impersonates a wall clock to remind him of the time when he decides to end class early. Polochon’s issue is his incessant babbling about Napoleon. As a result, the principle interrupts class to deliver a PowerPoint on the subject he is supposed to teach. He locks all the chemicals, with the exception of water, for the chemistry class to prevent any additional explosions.

The radiator is broken, so everyone is forced to wear layers of garments in order to cover up Amina’s revealing apparel. Polochon is still making an effort to win over the German teacher in the interim. He seeks advice from his coworkers, who advise him to act strong whenever she is nearby. Polochon considers the advice seriously and acts like an ordinary bad lad after school. He asks her out on a date while flaunting his fake muscles. But when she declines, he recognises he’s doing it wrong. The term’s conclusion is at last here. Due to all the constraints placed on them recently, teachers have been despondent. As a result, they complain about all of their issues when the constable arrives for an inspection.

He notices a trend suggesting that the principal is overly attached to the teacher’s method of instruction. As a result, he grants them complete access to their classes. The group does not hold back now that they are free to do anything they want. Polochon, dressed as Napoleon, instructs the class as Cutiro, a sloth, snoozes on a hammock the entire time. Boulard pulls on Nectarine’s hair in one of Gladys’s classes, causing her to whimper. Gladys decides to cut off her ponytail as a fix. She is free to conduct herself however she pleases in class, therefore the principal is unable to intervene. The teacher of chemistry makes the most of the freedom. His experiments progress from ridiculous to potentially fatal.

Almost every lesson ends in an explosion of some type. The philosophy professor has his students walk about in their pants so they can learn about nature in its purest form. The youngsters from the surrounding area are now interested in the school. They are told tales of a hot instructor, tense lessons, and classes where they can strip off. People begin breaking into the school to enter it in a few weeks. The attendance rate increases to 120%. The teachers become famous among the newcomers, and the school transforms into a club. Polochon continues to make every effort to win over the German teacher in the interim. This time, he poses as a prince riding a horse in an effort to charm her.

When the horse bolts, the strategy is abandoned. The extra students stop attending as the end of the term draws closer. To get ready for the finals, the others take a practise exam. The data, however, indicate that the pass rate has decreased from 16% to 3%. The teachers are unsure of how to feel about it. The idea that the pass rate could drop any further astounds the principal as well. He approaches the constable and informs him that his strategy is failing. The man never intended it to succeed, it is suddenly made clear. In order to replace the academy inspector and lower the pass rate as much as possible, he wants to succeed. He hired them even though he was aware that they would fail.

Polochon overhears the exchange and immediately hurries to inform his coworkers. The crew is motivated to disprove the claim that they are France’s worst teachers. Polochon gets the bright notion to take the test materials. The others join in and begin devising a complex scheme to do this. In preparation for being caught, they even practise evading gunfire. The day of the execution then finally comes. The group joins a mob that is out front of the ministry protesting. Gladys lies down on the road and is not seen when the cops chase the mob away. The others then storm into the ministry as Gladys and Cutiro wait outside.

Amina’s attractiveness diverts the guards, allowing the party to enter the building and reach the secure room. Nevertheless, when the safe’s lock requires a six-digit code to be unlocked, an unexpected issue occurs. Cutiro enters abruptly, demonstrating that they didn’t have to put in all the effort to get inside. They all agree that the code must be the day the minister won the election, and this assumption proves to be correct. The students are required to take a second practise exam in the scene that follows. Before beginning the test, the group makes a clue about how crucial the questions are. They discover, however, that they unintentionally took the middle school exam papers.

The pupils still value the effort they put out. Everyone loses hope as the finals approach in just two weeks. Polochon knows that nothing he does at this point will benefit the pupils, so he brings his resignation letter to the principal. The German instructor expresses her disappointment at him for fleeing like a coward as he leaves the school grounds. He becomes aware that he is not yet ready to give up after her remark. He uses Napoleon as an example to inspire the students and teachers to put in extra effort throughout the next two weeks of study. The philosophy instructor began drinking before classes that day to ensure that his students understood what he was saying.

Gladys gives them helmets to wear so they won’t get wounded when she flings chalk at them, and the sports teacher pushes them harder than ever. The findings are released three weeks later. To everyone’s amazement, the pupils’ pass rate increases the most, yet it only hits 49%. This indicates that the teachers are ineffective and that the school will no longer be open. In front of his boss, the deputy inspector drinks to celebrate his victory and admits it was his idea all along. When everything seems to be going wrong, the principal receives a letter that drastically alters everything. Boulard is expelled from school as a result of his persistently poor academic performance.

Due to Boulard’s idiocy, there will be one less failure, increasing the pass rate to 50%. Everyone rejoices over their victory and treats him like a king. The teachers are then free to transfer to any school of their choosing in accordance with the agreement. But for the majority of the students that failed, they opt to stay in Jules Ferris. The constable is travelling somewhere on a boat via a river that is home to crocodiles. It turns out that his boss had moved him to a community in the countryside. In the final scene, Polochon is kissed by the German instructor just before they take a group photo for the yearbook.
