Blue Ruin is a crime story about getting even that was written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier. Who killed the parents of Dwight and Sam, and why?
Wade Cleland’s dad killed Dwight’s parents because Dwight’s dad was seeing Cleland’s wife. Wade Cleland Sr. lived a full life and was very old when he died. Dwight’s mother was hurt by this even though she had nothing to do with it. Wade Cleland, the son, admits to the crime on his dad’s behalf. He goes to jail and gets out early. Dwight chooses to kill him to get back at the people who hurt his parents.
William, who is that kid?
William was born to Dwight’s dad and Cleland’s wife. The Cleland family raises William as their half-brother, even though he is not their biological child. For some reason, the Cleland brothers might not have known that William was their half-brother until Dwight told them at the end. On the other hand, William might have known this because he doesn’t dislike Dwight as much as the other Clelands do.
The End of Blue Ruin It was explained: Did he die?
At the end of Blue Ruin, William and Kris shoot Dwight, and he dies from his injuries. But before that, he kills the whole Cleland family except William, who he lets go. At first, Teddy Cleland is killed by Dwight’s friend Ben. After that, Dwight hides in the Cleland house and kills Carl because he wants to go after Sam. William sneaks up on Dwight and shoots him, but he doesn’t mean to kill him. Dwight takes William’s gun away, saves him, and tells him he is a half-brother.
Dwight wants to end the fight, but Kris, one of the sisters, goes to look for a secret gun while Hope runs at him. Kris shoots and kills Hope by mistake. He also seriously hurts Dwight and kills him. Dwight fires a shot that kills Kris at the same time.
How did Sam get lost?
Dwight knows they will go after Sam and her child because the Clelands didn’t call the police because Wade’s death wasn’t in the news. Dwight tells them to leave the city and go somewhere else. Over time, she will find out from the news that both her brother and the Clelands have died. Since she wasn’t rich, she would have to return to get her home and life back at some time.
