I’ll be explaining “The Unlisted,” an Australian science fiction drama television programme, today. Beware of spoilers! A group of middle school children are shown sprinting along an empty alleyway in the opening shot. While closely pursuing them, two adults get turned around by a subway track. The youngsters, who are alone and terrified, hide behind a wall. A six-person family by the name of the Sharma family resides somewhere in Australia. Dru and Kal Sharma are identical twins yet have quite distinct personalities. The brother who wears glasses and the brother who doesn’t are typically kept apart.
The older brother Dru dreams that someone is drilling into his teeth one morning, and he wakes up terrified. Dru’s irrational phobia of dentists is made fun of by his sibling as he is laughing. The family is occupied getting ready for the Diwali festival. Before giving them each a goal to do before the end of the day, their grandmother makes them breakfast. Dru just broke into his school’s database to get an early look at his text results. He got into a lot of trouble because of this, but after a week of restrictions, his parents let him use the computer. Knowing that Dru has continued to use his phone as usual for the past week, Kal huffs. They encounter Chloe, a mutual friend, while at school in the scenario that follows.
As they converse, the Global Child Initiative Program summons the entire class for a required dental examination. Tim, a classmate, leaves, claiming that his parents are against the checkup. Dru asks Kal to replace him because he hates going to the dentist. Kal enters again while donning Dru’s spectacles. The same procedure is done twice on him by the doctors who do not suspect him. Their instructor Mr. Park surprises them in class by giving them an exam that was also devised by the Global Child Initiative Program. The invigilator for the lesson is Miss Biggs, a representative of the aforementioned programme. The students suddenly freeze throughout the test after a few minutes had passed.
The only normal student in the class, Dru is completely perplexed. Miss Biggs, though, appears to be aware of the situation. While gathering information on the kids’ health, she misses the fact that Dru is still in motion. After a brief delay, they revert to their regular selves and carry on with the test as usual. Dru tries to ask Kal why he froze after class, but Kal has no idea what he is talking about. A number of weird events then occur, including Kal cycling very quickly without realising it and breaking a glass of ghee with his bare hands. Kal thinks Dru is being dramatic despite his repeated attempts to alert him to something being wrong.
Tim approaches the brothers later as they are standing outside of a store. He is the same person who that day declined to have a dental exam. He cautions them to be cautious before fleeing and not to believe everything they hear. The twins decide to pursue Tim after spotting a black van tailing him. They finally lose them because they are unable to keep up with the car. The Diwali celebration takes place in the evening, but the boys are too busy to take part. They contact Tim’s parents, who are as concerned. The call abruptly comes to an end when a group of men abducts the pair. Tim had advised the brothers not to put their trust in anyone, so they decide against calling the police.
Also, they do not want to inform their parents because doing so would put them at risk of kidnapping. The students from the opening scene appear again. Additionally, they are evading the Program’s operatives. To find the children, the agents search through CCTV footage from the entire city. The twins’ class is required to participate in a physical exam the following day at school. In it, the students display amazing athletic prowess that is beyond their years. Except for Dru, who has trouble keeping up with his peers. This is seen by Miss Biggs, who summons him to the sickbay for a test. Kal is instantly replaced by Dru, who forces him to accompany the teacher.
On the pretext of inspecting his neck, Miss Biggs examines his gums. Kal understands that the reason he and the others are acting strangely is because they must have been infected with a bug during the dental exam. Dru opted out of the test, thus he continued to be normal. Using their teacher’s computer in stealth, the brothers discover a database with all of the pupils’ records. It includes every detail about the kids, even where they are currently living. Due to the fact that Kal has two implants on either side of his jaw, Dru also uses the data that the implants collect about him. Tim, on the other hand, is referred to as the unlisted one because he never underwent the procedure.

The second party fleeing the establishment discovers a functional walkie-talkie in a garbage can somewhere else. They choose to utilise the device since they are unable to communicate via their phones. The brothers also purchase radio phones for use at home for communication. After doing some research, they learn that the Infinity Group, an organisation, is the driving force behind the Global Child Initiative Programme. Kal steps outside to check the phone’s range and notices a car in front of Tim’s house. The agents catch up with him and pursue him along the street, but Kal is able to flee. He and Dru pick up the other group’s frequency and hear their voice as they converse on the phone.
By explaining how they learned about the initiative, they strive to engage the group and earn their trust. The other group’s leader Rose phones them and tells them to meet the next day at a hill. Others at the park are victimised by Rose and her group’s lunchbox theft. They are desperate for outside assistance because they know they cannot endure these circumstances for very long. The Sharma boys, on the other hand, receive plentiful feeding from their grandmother. They play kabaddi at school, but they are divided into two different teams. Kal’s increased strength allows him to effortlessly wrestle the other team. However, this also makes the agents wary of him. To avoid being discovered, Dru begs him to lose the following round.
Kal reluctantly follows instructions but is furious due to the setback. Regan, a teacher’s pet, captures him kicking a container and sending it flying a short distance away. Later, she decides to show Miss Biggs. The brothers pay off their older sister after school to stand in for them while they go out to see Rose and her pals. As they arrive at the spot, they discover that nobody is there. Suddenly, someone tries to kidnap them by placing sacks over their heads. But they are exposed as being powerless in comparison to Kal. As it turns out, Rose and her companions are who they claim to be—not the agents. To make sure the boys weren’t with the opposition organisation, they planned to kidnap them.
Jacob, a friend of Rose’s, is harmed in the conflict. While the others walk to the hideout where Dru tells them everything, he and Kal stay at the park to make sure the other gang isn’t playing a bluff. The gang admits that they were also denied dental implants due to an incident, making them “Unlisted” and targets of the agent. They are unsure of the program’s precise purpose, but they are confident that some influential individuals are attempting to manipulate the youth. When Dru informs them that Tim and his parents were kidnapped, the group’s mood only gets worse. Even though he is doubtful himself, Dru detects their anxiety and reassures them that their parents are well.
Back in the park, Jacob and Kal bond over their shared love of sports teams while eating samosas. Due to his leg injury, Jacob is still in a lot of pain, but for the first time since it all began, he feels at peace. An hour later, Dru and Rose show up, and the group disperses. Regan, the teacher’s pet, is appointed monitor the following day in class and given the responsibility of alerting the agents to any suspicious behaviour taking on at the school. She plays the footage of Kal kicking the trash can for Miss Biggs. Miss Biggs, though, is pleased with the strength he has developed rather than angry.
Another physical test is administered to the kids, but this time they are restrained by dental implants. To assess their coordination, Ms Biggs makes students walk and turn in a particular way. Dru manages to conceal the fact that he is not being controlled by following the others. All of a sudden, things return to normal, and the people who were under control have no memory of what happened. Rose approaches the twins as they are returning home. They dash to the hiding place and discover that Jacob’s wound has gotten worse. He has a fever as a result of the infection, which if left untreated will undoubtedly worsen. Dru and Kal visit their aunt Maya’s clinic to assist him.
They intended to use her as cover while stealing some medications, but she noticed their odd conduct. They had no choice but to ask for her assistance after she calls them out on it. Nevertheless, they just inform her about the hurt child and not the Infinity Group. To be attacked by Rose and the others, the three of them travel to the hiding place. The lads swiftly clarify the issue to them despite their suspicions that the twins had deceived them. Maya is horrified to witness the state in which the children are living. Prior to inquiring with the children, she attends to Jacob’s wound. They reassure her that what they are doing is right, but they won’t explain why.
The lads worry about their aunt when they get home. Because she assisted them, they believe her life is in danger. The Infinity Group’s agents then catch her talking to them and getting into their car. Although the guys believe she is one of them, they are confident that she wouldn’t endanger the lives of her nephews. The men enter the hideout where Rose and the group are in the next scene. Before being discovered, they swiftly collect their belongings and rush outside. Dru goes to check on them after trying to reach them on the walkie-talkie but failing. In the meantime, Kal attends class as usual. When Dru sneaks into the hiding place, she discovers dead insects on the ground.
The gang, however, is not present. He is chased away by the construction workers after they see him. He assumes that the group had to hide from the workers but is now probably safe. Three Infinity Group agents attend the lecture in the classroom at the school. Tim returns to school as if nothing happened, but something even stranger occurs. At break, the boys try to talk to him, but he ignores them. Dru wants Kal to accompany her when she gets home from school since the agents might detect that Dru’s location and the implant’s location are different.
But Kal chooses to stay for football practise at the school. The coach instructs Kal to call Tim during warm-up. Kal summons him outside as he runs to his house. Tim, though, doesn’t appear to be familiar with the procedure. He argues that he must remain at home because his parents are out on business. An agent phones him from inside the residence before Kal had a chance to inquire as to what is happening. She approaches the window and looks at Kal before inquiring about his brother. In a fit of fright, Kal pretends to call Dru before bolting. Yet, the agent is affected by the encounter. Kal returns home and tells Dru what transpired.
They return to the hiding place to see if Rose and the others have arrived. They are relieved to discover the gang outside. It turned out that they were in a secret space that they had discovered deep within the sewer system. They enter the mentioned room, which appears to have previously been occupied. While not being the perfect living situation, it is an improvement over the previous setup. The twins eventually head back home. Kal stops abruptly, his eyes turning blue. He is obviously under control, but Dru is blind to it. They return home at last, where they have dinner with their family.
Maya is also present and is concerned for the children. She explains that the Infinity Organization has employed her as a medical officer in the final scene. The twins are perplexed and question whether they can still trust her as they glance at each other.
